§ 26-2. Prohibited acts.

  • It shall be unlawful and is declared to be a nuisance for peddlers, solicitors, and canvassers of goods and services engaged in commercial business for profit to go in and upon private residences in the village not having been requested or invited to do so by the owners or occupants of such private residences for the purpose of disposing of or peddling goods, wares and merchandise or for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise to be delivered in the future and services to be furnished or performed in the future.
